Herlig was asked to assess the school’s current building stock and pupil capacity to determine areas that would most benefit from investment. It was apparent that Bishop Perowne had significant deficit in classrooms, WC provision, and catering areas.
Clever use of existing space and minimising the new build meant Herlig were able to stretch the budget. The large new kitchen serves local schools in addition to Bishop Perowne and therefore a seamless programme of works and timely completion were essential.
